BI-COMFORT Concept Bed is designed by Iwona Gutka, Altrenotti’s art director, and made together with the manufacture’s master craftsmen. The Behind the product video presents the project.
Five elements, one system
The heart of rest is the mattress
In BI-COMFORT Concept Bed the protagonist is not the bed, but the mattress. Everything around it is designed to enhance it, and every element is interchangeable: combinations stay coherent in both aesthetics and function.
How a BI-COMFORT bed is composed
The system is built in five steps, from mattress to bed linen.
Mattress
The starting point: support and comfort chosen for the way you sleep.
Sleeping platform
Holds the mattress: steel, wooden, motorised or sommier.
Base
Defines the bed’s function and presence: floating, light, traditional or storage.
Headboard
The expressive element: twelve models, with fabrics, leathers and finishes to choose from.
Bed linen
Completes the system, coordinated with the bed’s upholstery.
Configure your bed system
The configurator guides the composition step by step: bed, mattress, fabrics, finishes and bed linen. Sizes follow the mattress formats (160, 180 and 200 cm, with US queen and king versions) and the catalogue gathers technical drawings and compatibility.
Mattresses
Nine mattresses, four systems
Natural, Hybrid, Foam and Pocket: four ways of understanding comfort. Every model has its own dedicated topper. The YOU&ME versions, for couples, place two different firmness levels on the same mattress.
- Natural System · Natural materials, such as the 100% natural origin latex of Bi-Green.
- Hybrid System · Materials and technologies combined for support, adaptability and progressive comfort.
- Foam System · Welcome and pressure distribution.
- Pocket System · Pocket springs; Bi-Moon introduces the Elevated Carbon Coil spring system.

The support beneath the mattress
Five solutions: Bi-Metal, a self-supporting steel base; Bi-Wood, multilayer beech slats with firmness regulators; Bi-Wireless, motorised with a Bluetooth remote; and two pocket spring sommiers, recessed or flush.
Bases
The base defines the bed’s character
Vela, slim and floating; Fantasma, minimal, to set off the mattress; Tradizionale, designed for the Bi-Wood base; Bauletto®, with storage compartment and lifting mechanism; and the Sommier bases, recessed or flush, with integrated pocket springs.
Headboards
Twelve headboards, twelve characters
The five Alba models (Long, Voler, Moyen, Haute and Petit) range from generous proportions to compact sizes. Monforte works with geometric panels, Roddi and Barbaresco with tailored details, Neive and La Morra with essential volumes, Roero and Lily with classic, delicate profiles. Each pairs with any base.
Signature combinations
Sixteen bed systems, ready composed
For those who prefer to start from a proposal, the collection offers sixteen headboard and base combinations with studied proportions, from Alba Long with Base Bauletto® to Lily with Base Tradizionale. They are completed with sleeping platform, mattress and upholstery.
Bed linen and furnishings
The system extends to the bedroom
Six bed linen collections (Carezza, Air Wash, Satin Unito, Satin Jacquard, Lino and Texture) coordinated with the bed’s upholstery. And two seats, Alba Bergère and Alba Poltroncina, carrying the collection’s lines into the rest of the room.

BI-COMFORT Concept Bed is available from the network of authorised Altrenotti retailers. The catalogue presents the system’s headboards, bases, mattresses and bed linen.
