History

The story of Altrenotti begins long before its name: a legacy of mastery born overseas in 1888, brought to Italy in 1930, and preserved, enriched and handed down to this day.

  1. 1888

overseas, the family business of mattress making comes to life.

  2. 1930

the Panero family opens its own workshop in Turin, homeland of mattress production. Early Sixties: with Rodolfo Lorenzo Panero comes Albaflex and the workshop becomes a company, with the handmade mattress and quilt shop in the centre of Turin and production on the outskirts.

  3. 1980

on 1 January the Altrenotti trademark is registered and the first monobrand shop opens. Early Eighties: Mario Panero joins, the company moves to Caselle and industrialisation begins: pillows, wool mattresses, old mattresses collected and turned into spring mattresses, the first beds.

  4. 1983

the Punti Notte chain is born. The Nineties: the retailer network expands across Italy.

  5. 2000

    internationalisation begins.

  6. 2026

the fourth generation signs BI-COMFORT Concept Bed, under the creative direction of Iwona Gutka.

Wellbeing passes through rest

Sleeping well means living better and helping body and mind stay healthy. This is why Altrenotti researches the best technical and stylistic solutions and composes them into a wellbeing system: the mattress suited to one’s body, the bed, the bed linen and the furnishings that make the bedroom pleasant. Never overlooking the needs of each customer.
